The National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) requires every Local Planning Authority to assess the amount of land that is available for housing and economic development in its area. This process is now known as the Housing and Economic Land Availability Assessment (HELAA). Previously it was referred to as the Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment (SHLAA).
The Council's latest publication is called the Housing and Economic Land Availability Assessment (HELAA) Review 2018.
For any enquiries relating to the HELAA please contact the Planning Policy Team.
