Walking Football for Men's Health: Get Involved

Have you or someone you know been affected by prostate cancer?

Basildon Council is launching a new Walking Football team for men aged 40+ who've experienced prostate cancer - offering a low-impact, sociable way to stay active, rebuild confidence, and reconnect with others.

The team will play its debut match on Saturday 19 July at the Fella's Fair, taking on Billericay Town's Walking Football team ahead of the men's first team game.

The Fella's Fair is a dedicated men's health event providing expert advice, wellbeing support, and a chance to connect with the community.

Supported by: Prostate Cancer UK, Healthwatch Essex, Essex FA, Basildon Borough Council, Billericay and Wickford Council for Voluntary Services, and Basildon and Brentwood Health Alliance.

Help Shape the Future of Westgate - Public Drop-In and Workshop Event

Residents are invited to take part in shaping the future of Basildon Town Centre by attending a drop-in session and workshop at Westgate Shopping Park on Thursday 5 June.

The event will give the local community a chance to see how the designs for the Westgate masterplan are progressing, and to help shape priorities around public space, housing, culture and leisure, and temporary uses.

This is an opportunity for residents to get involved and have their say in how Westgate evolves to meet the needs of the community now and in the future.
