If you registered an email address with us on sign-up, you will automatically receive a renewal email with options in March.
The standard subscription year will run from 1 April to 31 March each year.
Within 10 working days of signing up, you will receive;
A letter with details of your sign up
A permit sticker with instructions on how to fix this to your container(s)
Garden waste container(s), if you tell us that you do not already have these.
Permit stickers must remain stuck to the bin at all times in order for it to be emptied. If you remove the sticker or it comes away and you need a replacement, you can request one by calling our Customer Resolution Team.
Subscribers may be charged for a replacement permit.
Some properties will not be accepted for the service. This is because of the property type or for access reasons.
If your household did not receive a garden waste collection service before the changes, you won't be able to sign up.
You will no longer be able to present garden waste in compostable sacks.
We will only be collecting from wheeled bins provided by The Council as part of the subscription service.
You can use your compostable sacks for other means, such as taking garden waste to your local recycling centre.
If you are moving to a new address within the Basildon Borough
Please contact our Customer Resolution Team once you have moved into the new property and ask for your subscription address to be updated.
If you are moving to a new address outside of the Basildon Borough
Please contact our Customer Resolution Team once you have moved into the new address and tell us that you no longer need the garden waste subscription service. Please note that no refund will be given unless this is within the 14 day cooling off period. For full details, please see our terms and conditions.
