COVID-19 - (JANUARY LOCKDOWN UPDATE) From Monday 4 January 2021 emergency only council housing repairs . Non-emergency repairs suspended.
Due to the COVID-19 lockdown restrictions; from Monday 4 January 2021, until further notice we will only deal with emergency council housing repairs including gas and electrical servicing and external works such as:
Burst pipes
Total loss of electricity supply
Gas safety
Overflowing sewage
Locked out
Gas servicing, electrical inspections and external works will continue as usual.

• Heating and Boiler Repairs
If your repair is not an emergency please request the repair online and we will assess the situation and arrange an appointment in the future where possible.
All staff, operatives and sub-contractors of our housing repairs contractors, Morgan Sindall are working to strict safety guidance, wearing masks and gloves and keeping to social distancing guidelines. All Morgan Sindall staff, operatives and sub-contractors carry appropriate identification identifying them as employees of Morgan Sindall working on behalf of Basildon Council, and they will be willing to hand over their ID for closer inspection.
Do not be embarrassed or afraid to ask someone claiming to be a Morgan Sindall representative to wait outside or to call you back later. If you are in any doubt at all you should phone Basildon Council on 01268 533333 to confirm that the caller is who they say they are.

COVID-19 - SOCIAL DISTANCING WHEN CONTRACTORS ARE IN YOUR HOME
Should a Morgan Sindall contractor need to enter your property to carry out repairs or maintenance work we ask that you stick to the government advice on social distancing ensuring that a 2 metre distance is maintained at all times for the safety of both yourself and the contractor.
