The vision of the Safer Basildon Partnership is "Working together to make Basildon a Safer Place".

The Safer Basildon Partnership is Basildon borough's own community safety partnership (CSP). CSPs are a statutory requirement of the Crime and Disorder Act 1998 and have a duty to formulate a strategy to reduce crime and disorder, combat substance misuse and reduce re-offending in their local area.

CSPs do not replace the work of the Police or the day to day business of the organisations involved, instead they are seen as clear routes for agencies to work together, delivering against agreed priorities, co-ordinating resources, achieving efficiencies and value for money.

Preventing serious violence

The Serious Violence Duty is part of the Governments wider approach to prevent and reduce serious violence.

A priority of the Safer Basildon Partnership is to reduce the impact of drugs on the local community.

Our ambition is to ensure that people who live, work, or visit the borough feel safe.

The Safer Basildon Partnership has worked to develop an early intervention and prevention programme to deliver key community safety messages to young people.

Tackling re-offending though Integrated Offender Management

The Safer Basildon Partnership works closely with the National Probation Service to reduce reoffending.

Protecting vulnerable people from abuse, harm, and exploitation

One of the aims of the Safer Basildon Partnership is to protect vulnerable people from abuse, harm, and exploitation, in particular victims of domestic abuse and hate crime.

Together For Safer Communities meetings

The Together for Safer Communities meetings provide an opportunity for residents to discuss community safety concerns and receive crime prevention advice and materials on how to protect you and or your family from becoming victims of crime.
