Basildon Council has launched a new fully-funded support service to help local businesses safeguard their future and grow successfully.

The Issues and Options Consultation closes on Tuesday 5 September 2023 - the first conversation with communities as part of the development of a new Local Plan for Basildon Borough.

Earlier this morning (Friday 25 August 2023), representatives of Basildon Council recovered possession of the cinema complex at East Square, Basildon, thereby forfeiting the lease with Empire Cinemas and allowing the council to secure a new operator for the space.

Newly published data by the UK Government shows that Basildon Council issued 6,420 Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs) for fly-tipping in 2021/22.
