In the news: Kaspa's to bring delicious desserts to East Square development
Visitors to Basildon Town Centre will soon be able to enjoy delicious desserts as Kaspa's - a brand new dessert house - gets ready to open its doors as part of the East Square cinema development.
The new restaurant will open in Autumn 2022.
Kaspa's have more than 100 restaurants around the UK, providing a huge range of hot and cold desserts under one roof. Their menu boasts a mouth-watering selection of ice creams, gelatos, waffles, crepes, milkshakes, sundaes, smoothies and more.
A spokesperson from Kaspa's said: "We are really excited about opening our latest Kaspa's store in Basildon! At Kaspas Desserts, our mission is to create an environment where enjoying authentic desserts with family and friends is an unforgettable experience - so we can't wait to bring our mouth-watering selection of artisan gelatos, waffles, crepes, milkshakes, smoothies and sundaes to the people of Basildon! See you there!"
The new restaurant will be located as part of the new East Square development led by Basildon Council. Right in the heart of Basildon's town centre, the development will include six new dining experiences, including Orleto Lounge which opened in February 2022, as well as the upcoming Empire Cinema, boasting the largest screen outside of London anywhere in the UK.
Cllr Craig Rimmer, Cabinet Member for Regeneration at Basildon Council, welcomed the announcement: "I am so excited to welcome Kaspa's to Basildon and it is great to see the East Square development coming to life. The success at Orleto Lounge shows that people want to spend their time and money in Basildon and the East Square development is bringing opportunity and a much-needed boost to the town centre. We all deserve a treat now and then and I can't wait to try a smoothie!"
