Notice of Vacancy - Appointment of Laindon Common Conservator
In accordance with the duty laid on the Council by the Commons Regulation (Laindon) Provisional Order Confirmation Act 1887, Basildon Council appoints nine Laindon Common Conservators to manage the Common on its behalf.
Conservators are appointed for a three year term, with three retiring each year in rotation: outgoing Conservators are eligible for re-election.
The aims and objectives of the Laindon Common Conservators are:
- To preserve the right of free access to the Common for inhabitants of the neighbourhood
- The improvement and maintenance of the Common and its biodiversity.
