To apply; please complete and submit the following online application form. The questions are simple and easy to answer - we do not expect it will take you more than 5-10 minutes to complete.

Once complete, the Economic Development Team will be in touch to confirm your application and request any additional information or evidence required.

Section 2. Good Employer Charter Principles - Assessment of required criteria
1. Your organisation must be able to show that it can satisfy the requirements of the four pillars of the scheme in order to receive the following levels of Good Employer accreditation:
  - Two pillars - Bronze accreditation
  - Three pillars - Silver accreditation
  - All four pillars - Gold accreditation
  We understand that not every organisation will instantly satisfy all four pillars right away. We will willingly support your organisation's efforts to achieve the ultimate goal of Gold standard accreditation.
  
  Your answers to the following questions will enable us to assess your current position.
3. 2.1 - Pillar one; Fair pay

  1. Organisations applying for Good Employer Charter accreditation will be expected to provide evidence that they have an equality and diversity policy in place.
    
    If your organisation does not currently have an equality and diversity policy, a template which can be used to create one is available from the (ACAS) website.

Section 3. Committing to The Good Employer Charter Principles
1. In order to gain bronze, silver or gold Good Employer Charter accreditation and membership of the Basildon Good Employer Network your organisation must make a commitment to operate by the Charter principles.
2. I confirm the organisation’s commitment to actively and continuously working towards improving its employer and business practices by applying the Good Employer Charter principles in the organisation’s everyday operations and strategic decision making.
