COVID-19 UPDATE - Council managed golf club, tennis courts, ball courts and fishing lakes reopen. Outdoor gyms remain closed

Parks and open spaces are open to the public for walks and daily exercise in line with government social distancing guidelines.

Borough's council managed fishing lakes, outdoor tennis courts and ball courts in parks and open spaces have also reopened to the public in line with government guidelines. Basildon Golf Course has also reopened in line with government guidelines.

These facilities are only to be used by people who are alone or with members of their own household, or with one other person from outside their household. Particular care should be taken when using any indoor facilities such as toilets next to, or nearby, any of these facilities.

Coronavirus social distancing guidelines must be observed at all times. These facilities should not be used by anyone showing coronavirus symptoms, or anyone who is self-isolating.

Still closed - Outdoor gyms and children's play areas in parks and housing estates remain closed.

Fishing Lake Prices and Information

Basildon's three council-owned  fishing lakes are managed on behalf of Basildon Council by Russes Watercraft and Landscape Maintenance Ltd .
