Our town centre is changing. With that in mind Basildon Council is now engaged in developing a new Town Centre Masterplan that will guide regeneration activity and encourage investment into Basildon town centre over the next 15 years.
Public consultation is a key stage in developing this new masterplan and we are now encouraging residents and businesses to submit their comments and ideas on future town centre development.

The Essex Coast Recreational disturbance Avoidance and Mitigation Strategy (RAMS) is an initiative to raise awareness of the birds that feed and breed on the Essex coast, so that people can enjoy the coast and its wildlife without disturbing the birds.
Councils across South Essex (Basildon, Brentwood, Castle Point, Rochford, Southend and Thurrock and Essex County Council) are working together to prepare the South Essex Plan. This joint plan will be a bold new blueprint to deliver better infrastructure across south Essex, to boost housing and create skills jobs and training opportunities up to 2050.
