The events will include marches featuring local Armed Forces members, Veterans, Cadet groups, as well as emergency service units. The services will feature speeches and wreath laying before a minute's silence at 11am.
Events will be held at the following locations:
- St Martins Square, Basildon
- Billericay High Street
- Laindon (in the car park behind Swan development, accessible via Danacre)
- Howard Park, Pitsea
- St Chad's Church, Vange
- Wickford Memorial Park
- Ramsden Crays War Memorial
- Ramsden Bellhouse War Memorial
The Mayor of Basildon, Councillor Luke Mackenzie will be attending the event in St Martin's Square, with the Deputy Mayor of Basildon, Councillor Yetunde Adeshile, attending Pitsea's Remembrance event in Howard Park.
Cllr Luke MacKenzie said: "It's a real privilege of my role that I can attend events like this and pay my respects to such heroes of our country.
"The bravery of our current and former members of the Armed Forces is extraordinary. Our fallen soldiers sacrificed their lives to allow us to be able to live as we do now, and I know our borough will come out in force to honour them in the way they deserve."
