Waste and recycling collections will carry on throughout the Christmas and New Year period with temporary changes to collection days.

Residents going out this Christmas are being advised to ensure they pre-book taxis and check drivers hold valid licence badges this festive period.
Basildon Council has launched a consultation regarding the implementation of a borough-wide Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) prohibiting various types of anti-social behaviour (ASB).
Park wardens will now be patrolling borough housing estates and town centres in a bid to disrupt low level drug activity and anti-social behaviour.
Licensed taxi and private hire drivers in the borough are being offered free face masks to help keep themselves and customers safe amid the tightening of Covid-19 restrictions.
