In the news: Virtual public hearing date set

A virtual public hearing has been arranged in respect of plans for 3-31 Runwell Road, Wickford.

An Inspector appointed by the Secretary of State, will hold the virtual hearing on Tuesday 8 July at 10am, which will be run in the normal way, but with parties invited to join via Microsoft Teams or by telephone. 

The virtual hearing is currently anticipated as sitting for one day and is open to members of the public.

The hearing follows an appeal by Julia MacKay Properties relating to the non-determination of a planning application submitted to Basildon Council, reference 19/01502/FULL, for the Erection of two, six storey blocks. The blocks would provide 122 apartments (76 one bed and 46 two bed units) with a part basement/part elevated car park to provide 132 parking spaces with associated access and infrastructure at 3-31 Runwell Road, Wickford.
