Basildon is set to become home to Essex's first OnSide Youth Zone, after the council's Neighbourhoods and Public Spaces committee gave the exciting project the green light last night (Wednesday 25 November).
Changes to the way food and garden waste is collected will be trialled in certain areas of the borough following approval by councillors.
After a unanimous vote in its favour by councillors at last night's Housing and Communities Committee, the council are to donate the remaining £10,500 from the Together for Safer Communities 2020/21 budget to foodbanks across the borough.
