Event details

Basildon and Pitsea Carnival Association holds the Carnival and Festival every July to provide a day of entertainment for the local community and to help raise the profile of many local groups and charities.

The 2019 carnival is themed 'Basildon at 70' this year and we are looking for more sponsors and participants so we can add more to the event. And we would like more companies, groups or people to take part in the Parade. Our aim over the next few years is to grow and modernise both the Parade and Festival.

Come down and see our Basildon at 70 float at the Carnival this year!

Basildon Council are proud to announce that we have partnered with Ryedene Primary and Nursery School in collaboration with Greensted Junior School to create a range of head dresses, banners and decoration for the carnival this year!Image promoting Ryedene Primary and Nursery School who will be design and decorate the Basildon at 70 float for the Basildon and Pitsea CarnivalImage promoting Greensted Junior School who will be design and decorate the Basildon at 70 float for the Basildon and Pitsea Carnival

The workshops will be coordinated and delivered by Artist Ingrid Anderson, who works as Artist in Residence at Ryedene School.

The project will involve up to 40 children: 10 pupils from Greensted Juniors and 30 pupils from Ryedene Primary.
