COVID-19 - JANUARY LOCKDOWN UPDATE
During the COVID-19 January lockdown restrictions; from Monday 4 January 2021 until further notice:
Parks and open spaces to remain open
Parks and open spaces are open to the public for walks and daily exercise in line with government social distancing guidelines.
Particular care should be taken when using any indoor facilities such as toilets next to, or nearby, any of these facilities.
Children's play areas to remain open
Basildon Council children's play areas in parks, open spaces and housing estates are open to the public .
Outdoor gyms to remain closed
Basildon Council outdoor gyms in parks, open spaces and housing estates are closed to the public .
These facilities should not be used by anyone showing coronavirus symptoms, or anyone who is self-isolating.
Follow the COVID-19 safety precautions
Play areas and outdoor gyms display signs advising visitors of COVID-19 safety precautions.
Visitors are asked to apply hand sanitizer before and after using play or outdoor gym equipment.
