Sheltered Housing Focus Group continuously seeks the views of Sheltered Housing Tenants' and Leaseholders', in order to ensure they have an input in decision making in relation to:

  • New policies, procedures and associated documentation used in relation to services for Sheltered Housing Tenants and Leaseholders.
  • Service Charges, ensuring value for money for Sheltered Housing Residents.
  • Changes to be implemented by the Council in relation to Government legislation.
  • The development of good practice and innovation in the delivery of services for Sheltered Housing Tenants and Leaseholders.

Become a Sheltered Housing Focus Group member

The first step towards becoming a member of the Sheltered Housing Focus Group is to volunteer to become one of the following:

  • A Sheltered Housing Tenant Representative
  • A Leaseholder Representative from one of our 3 leasehold Sheltered Housing Schemes.

Only serving Tenant or Leaseholder Representatives will be considered for membership of the Sheltered Housing Focus Group.

The Sheltered Housing Focus Group has seven members, as follows:

  • 6 Sheltered Housing Tenant Representative
  • 1 Leaseholder Representative from one of our 3 leasehold Sheltered Housing Schemes

Sheltered Housing Focus Group meetings

The Sheltered Housing Focus Group meets quarterly throughout the year.

Sheltered Housing Forum meetings are not open to the general public.

All of the following Sheltered Housing Focus Group meetings start at 10am and will be held in the St Georges Suite in Basildon Council's town centre offices in The Basildon Centre in St Martin's Square, Basildon.
