e-Planning - Search and comment on applications
Basildon Borough Council's e-Planning system enables users to view, track and comment on planning applications online.
We are aware of an error that is affecting new registrations for the portal. This is due to a technical issue. Please be advised that the registration process does complete as usual, and users should continue to try & log-in to the portal using the details provided at the point of registration to access the portal and to view or comment on an application
The more recent the application, the more information is available. For most applications since 1st January 2008, there will also be supporting plans and documents available to view online. Information is also held for Appeals against Planning Decisions, and Enforcement Cases

- Save Searches
- Track planning applications
- Receive email notifications about tracked applications and new search results.
Search for a Planning Application - This service will allow you to:
- Search current and historic planning applications and view plans.
- Save searches
- Track applications
- Receive email notifications
- View a list of the most recently submitted planning applications.
Submitting a comment on an application.
We welcome comments on planning applications either objecting to, or in support of, an application. Please note that you will need to register with the e-Planning system in order to submit a comment.
Important note regarding property or legal transaction
The online planning history contained within the e-Planning system should not be relied upon in connection with a property or legal transaction. If you require a property's complete history for the purposes of conducting a property or legal transaction, please contact our Local Land Charges Search Office to discuss your requirements together with any fees that may be involved.
