Basildon Council is committed to the delivery of responsive, good quality customer services to the people of the District.

 So we always want to know when you have been especially pleased with our services, or any of our staff or our contractors.

We also always welcome suggestions as to how we can continue to improve our services.

Your compliments will help us to improve our standards when we know:

  • You have been especially pleased with one of our services, our staff or one of our contractors.
  • You have found our performance equal to, or better than one of our published standards.

We will always welcome any suggestions where:

  • You have an idea as to how we can improve our standards or services, to the benefit of the people of the District.

If you would like to comment on our services, staff or contractors, or make a suggestion to improve our services and standards, please contact the Department concerned or the Service Advice Centre either in person, telephoning, writing, emailing or by completing our online form or by pdf icon downloading the complaints form [555kb] and returning it to our offices.

Alternatively, contact your Ward Councillor to discuss your compliment or suggestion.


Our Service Advice Centre will ensure that your compliment or suggestion is logged and passed onto the relevant person, department or contractor.

If you require a response to your suggestion or compliment we will do so within 10 working days.
