On 9 February 2017 Basildon Council cabinet members made the decision to withdraw council support for Careline, which will mean complete closure of the service.

There is no firm date for the final closure of Careline but it is anticipated that the service will cease sometime in the later part of 2017, and only after satisfactory arrangements have been made for the care of our existing customers.

Existing customers: Over the coming months existing Careline customers will be given every assistance possible to find an alternative emergency care alarm supplier.

New customers: The Careline service can no longer accept new customers.
