Consultation on the Housing Ombudsman Corporate Plan 2019/2022

Have you say - The ombudsman is looking for the views of tenants and leaseholders to help ensure they are providing a service that is relevant and meets your needs.

The Consultation

Basildon Council is calling on its tenants and leaseholders to have their say on the Housing Ombudsman's corporate plan 2019/22.

The council works hard to resolve complaints directly with its tenants and leaseholders but complainants have the right to escalate to the Housing Ombudsman should they remain unhappy with the outcome of their complaint.

The ombudsman is now looking for the views of tenants and leaseholders to help ensure they are providing a service that is relevant and meets customer needs.

The plans are focused on four new strategic objectives which are to:

  • Deliver a fair and impartial service, resolving disputes at the earliest opportunity
  • Promote positive change in the sector
  • Provide a service that is professional, accessible and simple to use
  • Ensure its service is open and transparent
