Together for Safer Communities Public Meetings

A series of 'Together for Safer Communities' public meetings taking place across the borough in October and November, to give community reassurance and promote crime prevention.

All residents are encouraged to attend

Together for safer communities The 'Together for Safer Communities' public meetings will give residents the opportunity to:

  • Raise community safety concerns
  • Pick up free crime prevention materials
  • Discuss their community safety issues and concerns with their local Ward, County and Parish Councillors
  • Meet representatives from Neighbourhood Watch and Essex Watch and find out how to get involved with local groups.

The meetings will be  led by Councillor Kerry Smith, Chairman of Basildon Council's Housing and Community Committee.

Essex Police have been invited to these meetings, and where they are represented they will give members of the public a brief overview of crime and anti-social behaviour and provide an opportunity to discuss local issues and concerns.
