Resident Involvement - The Leaseholder Panel

The Leaseholder Panel considers leasehold issues and the implications of Leasehold Legislation upon Leaseholders' rights.

The purpose of the Leaseholder Panel is to meet quarterly in order to consider issues that are important to leaseholders, such as:

  • service charges
  • major repairs programmes
  • insurance costs
  • general lease matters.

The views of our leaseholders are important to Basildon Council, we also have a legal requirement to consult our leaseholders when major repairs and improvements are to be carried out to any of our blocks of flats.

Basildon Council's Leaseholder Panel is organised by our Home Ownership Team.
