Council Vehicle 360° CCTV cameras

All Council refuse and recycling collection vehicles and most other council HGVs have 360° CCTV cameras fitted to them.  These are mainly used to see fault in the case of a RTC (Road Traffic Collision).

Not only can fault be accurately accounted for, but potentially fraudulent claims against the Council can be clearly fought and at times be prevented in the first place.  It will also be used for: H&S breaches, aggressive behaviour towards staff and staff training.

If you with to obtain footage relating to a RTC, these should be raised via the Insurance policies and claims who will investigate any claim and will obtain any relevant CCTV footage.

Other requests for footage need to be made via the above request process.
