The Wick Country Park

Basildon's latest Country Park at Wickford comprising 50 acres of former agricultural land.

Over 2Km of easy access trails take you around the site. Trails lead you past old hedgerows, the new 5 acre lake, ponds, WWII pillboxes and recent woodland plantings.

New bridges and boardwalk allow the trails to continue over the North Benfleet brook.

'Friends of the Wick Country Park' are an organisation of local people that support Basildon  Council in its management and monitoring of the Wick Country Park who produce a newsletter twice a year called 'Skylarks'.
