Building Regularisation Certificate - Building Control

Building Regulations allow the opportunity to certify building work carried out without notification or approval, which commenced on or after 11 November 1985.

What happens after I submit an application for a Regularisation Certificate?

Building Control assess work to determine if it meets requirements of Building Regulations. To reach a decision, the Building Control Surveyor needs as much access to the construction as necessary.

If the work does meet Building Regulations, or alterations are made - you will receive a Completion Certificate.

If work does not meet Building Regulations requirements, no certificate is issued. Also, if work cannot be sufficiently inspected due to a lack of access, no certificate or refund will be given.
