| Fareshare - Community Transport Volunteer Cars & Minibuses |
We offer a low cost, door to door Community Transport Service for social visits, leisure, shopping, visiting friends and relatives in hospital, or for trips to the doctors or dentist for people who are unable to access public transport.
The service is available weekdays until 10.30pm and all day Saturday
Our minibuses are equipped with tail lifts or ramps and access for people who cannot board other vehicles and/or are confined to a powered or manual wheelchair.
We can also arrange transport for groups and clubs to support their activities.

When using Fareshare Community Transport,
- be ready for the appointed time
- have the correct money for the driver
- let us know if you have to cancel
- please be patient if we are running late
- and please do not blame the driver!!!

| Tonic - Toe & Finger Nail Cutting | |
Our nail cutting service is provided by trained volunteers for people who are unable to cut their own nails, either in their own homes or at one of our regular clinics throughout the district.
We also offer a fingernail cutting services for people who have limited dexterity or visual impairment.

| Shopping Escort Service | |
Window shopping or just for leisure, our volunteer escorts are available to push elderly people who are confined to a wheelchair around Basildon town centre.
We provide this service for free.

We have a large fleet of wheelchairs available for long and short term loan.
This service is provided free to any resident of any age within the Basildon District.
We will require a deposit (refundable) and proof of identity. |
