Our Procurement Code of Conduct
Basildon District Council's constitution document ‘The Way We Work’ , includes protocols for dealing with procurement.
Importantly, the Council's Constitution requires that all employees must declare any interest they have with any existing or potential supplier, and must also declare whether any such interest is private, social, domestic or professional.
The need for such a declaration also applies to Council Members (local Councillors) who are governed by a strict code of conduct as set down in the Council's Constitution, ‘The Way We Work.
