Since April 2005 - Street lighting which is still the responsibility of Basildon Council
From April 2005 Basildon Council will still be responsible for maintenance of street lighting in areas owned by the Council, amongst which are the following:
- Basildon Town Centre
- Lake Meadows
- Wickford Memorial Park
- Great Berry Open Space
- Billericay Cemetery
- Pitsea Cemetery
