- Awarded to formally constituted voluntary and community organisations based in the District who provide benefits to the residents.
- Applications for one off projects but not for financial assistance toward annual operational expenses.
- Required to show how the project contributes towards one or more of the aims outlined in Basildon District Council Strategic Improvement Plan.
- Must also provide Constitution and latest Statement of accounts.
- Grants awarded range form £100 to £2000
- Closing date for completed applications is 30th April, August and December each year.

| Grants - Free Lets |  |
- Voluntary and Community organisations who hire or propose to hire Council owned venues where a charge is payable, can apply for a free let.
- Provide details of the activity taking place and information on their financial situation.
- Considered on the merits of their case.

| Grants - To Senior Citizens Clubs |  |
- Available to Senior Citizens Clubs to put towards the cost of renting premises or heating and lighting costs for regular meetings.
- Not available for social evenings or other events.
- Awards are calculated to cover 2/3rds of yearly costs.

| International Exchange |  |
- Funding exists to enable the Basildon, Billericay and Wickford Twining Association to apply for grants.
- The Association was established many years ago to promote exchange within out twin towns of Meaux (France) and Heiligenhaus (Germany).
- The association's activities cover all aspects of community life with an emphasis on youth exchanges and sporting activities both here and in the twin towns.

- Each organisation has a service level agreement with the Council requiring them to report on their performance against set criteria
