The centre takes all forms of household waste but there are restrictions on entry for certain types of vehicles.

Please note that the centre does not take trade waste.

Opening Times:

Recycling Centre for Household Waste (known locally as Pitsea tip) is run by Essex County Council.

Normal opening hours:
October to February
March to September

Seven days a week
8.00am to 4.00pm
8.00am to 5.00pm

Extended Opening Hours
May to August

Tuesdays only
5.00pm to 7.00pm
