Parking Payments/Penalties
Basildon District Council now has responsibility for parking enforcement and may issue Penalty Charge Notices.

If you receive a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN), either £70 or £50 (please see front of Penalty Charge Notice) must be paid to Basildon District Council.
If the Penalty Charge is not paid, action may ultimately be taken through the civil court to recover the debt.
Pay within 14 days and and save 50%.
If payment is made within 14 days of the penalty charge notice being served, you will only be asked to pay 50% of the amount due.
If you pay within 14 days,
- a £50 penalty charge notice will only cost you £25.
- a £70 penalty charge notice will only cost you £35.

Cash and credit card information must not be sent through the post

In person at theCouncil's town centre offices in The Basildon Centre. |
IMPORTANT - PLEASE NOTE:
Please note that parking enforcement within the Town Centre itself is administered by Town Centre Management and not by Basildon District Council.
This applies to all roads inside the Southernhay / Great Oaks circle except for the Basildon Centre end.
This includes The Bus Station, Taxi Rank, Market Pavement, Great Oaks, Westgate and Basildon Centre Car Parks.
All of the car parks within this area are also owned and run by Town Centre Management.
