Basildon QTP Subsidised Taxi Scheme
| The purpose of the QTP Subsidised Taxi Scheme was to provide suitable subsidised transport for people who are unable to use conventional public transport and who must use a wheelchair in order to be mobile, and whose disability prevents them from transferring from a wheelchair to a conventional seat. | |
Funding for partner organisations to provide subsidies to clients came from the Urban Bus Challenge
The funding already received was awarded for the period to 31st March 2008 only, and any unspent subsidy must be paid back to the funder after this date.
Unfortunately, it has not been possible to arrange funding from other sources to continue the scheme into April 2008 and beyond.
It is therefore with regret that we must inform you that the Basildon Subsidised Taxi Scheme will came to an end on 31st March 2008.
