Situated in Eversley Recreation Ground, Crest Avenue, Pitsea - Map
The Eversley Centre was opened in September 1987 by the World Light-Welterweight boxing champion Terry Marsh and was named in his honour, "The Terry Marsh Centre", and features a mosaic picture of him in the entrance foyer.
However, it reverted to its original name of Eversley Leisure Centre in 1993. In 1988 a climbing wall was added and in 1989 a fitness room was opened. Click Here to view daily activities.

The Markhams Chase Centre was opened on the 7th January 1989 by local international middle distance runner Eamonn Martin. - London Marathon winner in 1993.
