Crossrail, the proposed east-west cross London rail link has moved a step closer, with the publication of the Crossrail Hybrid Bill that is being heard in the UK Parliament.

The construction of the Crossrail project, will affect part of Basildon District, with a site being safeguarded adjacent to the c2c railway line in Pitsea Hall Lane, Pitsea, for a rail waste transfer station, required to support the tunnel construction work.

The Bill and its supporting documents are available for the public to inspect/buy from thePlanning Reception in the Basildon Centre, St Martin’s Square, Basildon, Essex, open Monday-Friday 9am - 5pm.
