Planning Services - Local Land Charges
The Local Land Charges Office provides information to people buying or carrying out transactions on a piece of land or property in the Basildon District.
It investigates whether there are any legal restrictions, which may affect the property or land in question and will bring together all the information in the form of a Local Authority search, which collects information from various departments throughout the Council, including Planning, Building Control, Environmental Health & Engineers.
Details that are provided include previous planning history and notices or restrictions imposed on the land and property, nearby highway proposals and whether there are any planning constraints (i.e. is the property in a Conservation Area), which might affect any future development.
