The five Regulatory Committees act and make decisions within their own areas of responsibility as set out in the Council's Constitution. |

The majority of Regulatory Committees decisions can be made without the need for Cabinet or Council to be involved, however there are exceptions which require a matter to be referred to the Cabinet or Council for a final decision.
