How and When We Consult....
There are number of ways that local people can involved in the work of the Council

The Citizens Panel is made up of 1,000 local people and is a true representation of our community. The Citizen's Panel provides a realistic overview of what you think.
Community forums are led by ward councillors and serviced by the Councils community development officers. Local residents are invited to raise issues with officers from the Council and other service providers, who attend on a regular basis.
Public meetings are a way for you to ask questions and learn about the work of the Council. Why not come along and join us.
Throughout the year there are a number of different survey and consultations taking place. Have a look at what's happening and the results of pass surveys.
Northlands Neighbourhood Committee created to give the community an opportunity to voice any concerns or issues they have with local environment.
Basildon Council works in partnership with St Georges Community Housing who have established a number of Community Panels whose purpose is to enable residents to have a greater say in shaping and influencing how the Council manages the services provided.
Parish Councils are statutory bodies which give residents more say on local issues that affect them.
Working together to make a difference to the lives of young people and the entire community.
